Overview
1. Select Sites
1. Select SitesThe “select sites” tool enables users to filter by different site characteristics related to the following categories: ownership, land cover, proximity to drainage systems, equity considerations, and sensitive land.
Use this widget to contextualize and explore the underlying layers that inform the “Select Sites” widget.
3. Add Data
3. Add DataInterested in comparing sites to your own local data? Upload shapefiles or add layers from your ArcGIS Online account to the map with this widget.
Once you have narrowed down to a subset of sites, export the list to a csv by selecting the “Table” button at the bottom right of the map.
Accompanying this tool is a field survey that allows local staff to take the data exported from this tool and do more in-depth analysis about siting a BMP.
Tool Layout

The app has 3 main panels:
The widget panel hosts one of the three main tools (Select Sites, Explore Layers, Add Data) that can be selected using the widget toggle.
The map panel displays the potential sites layer (filtered using Select Sites) and any layers that have been turned on in the Explore Layers widget or added in the Add Data widget.
The site information panel displays key information about any sites that have been selected in the map panel.
The size of the panels can be adjusted by dragging on the edge to increase/decrease the size.

There are several ways to interact with the map panel. The (+) and (-) signs allow you to zoom in and out. You can also zoom to your current location, or search for a specific location. In the bottom right, you can click on the "legend" or "table" buttons to view the map legend or the table of filtered or selected sites.
Text

The site information panel provides key information about any currently selected sites. It starts with a land cover breakdown that breaks down the percentage of impervious and pervious surfaces on the selected sites.
It then provides basic site information like the address, owner, use description, and acreage.
Next, the panel provides information about the estimated nutrient load generated on site, as well as distance to the drainage network (where available).
Finally, it provides information about overlap with sensitive land types, equity, and community co-location.
